Judging
As with previous years, I want the judging to focus more on personal improvement rather than comparing artistic skill across the entries. So I will judge your entry by how it fits with the theme and how much effort to improve you put in your piece in comparison to the rest of your gallery. So please enjoy this time to have fun while improving your skills.

An Issac Newton theme? That's definitely original. There are very few background in 's
's gallery and I think accomplishing a full landscape with good depth is very much improvement. It's a really cute picture.

I had hoped to have more OC reference sheets finished by now, but what with my injury and work, I haven't had the time. For those who are new this isn't your everyday contest. Everyone can enter and anyone has a chance to win. There are so many contests out there that judge by who has the best artwork, this one will judge you by comparing your entry artwork to your gallery to see how you have improved, stretched yourself, and really put in creative effort. I want to use this contest to not only have fun celebrating me successfully having another trip around the sun, but also to reward artists from any level for the hard work and improvements they're making because encouragement is so important for artists and we're always growing. Birthday OC Contest! (WINNERS ANNOUCED)

This was a really close one and hard to judge, I almost made some people tie. Judging was based on the originality of the artwork and theme and the effort that went into it depending on the individual's gallery. Thank you all for participating, and I hope you had fun and were able to grow a little artistically.
Third place: 
SunGardian pushed herself by creating a full background complete with a whole school of fish.
She also played with difficult underwater lighting.
Second place: 
Apninja painted a full autumn rain scene with two characters doing complicated poses.
First place: 
Lyricalmime drew a touching scene, complete with a full background and deails.

Leaving on a Trip (I'm back)

Hi guys! I’m glad to be back now. I can rest at home finally. x3 I did get to see many pretty landscapes while I was gone and such beautiful mountains and skies.
